Our Level 1+ Inspection is an enhanced version of a standard Level 1 inspection. It includes the visual inspection expected from a Level 1 inspection, along with additional visual documentation to provide you with a clearer picture of your chimney and venting system.

Included with every Level 1+ Inspection:

• Visual inspection of readily accessible components of the chimney, fireplace, stove, appliance, and venting system.
• Inspection of readily accessible areas for visible signs of damage, deterioration, improper installation, or conditions that may affect safe operation.
• A rooftop inspection is included when the roof and chimney are readily and safely accessible.
• A complimentary internal video scan is included with your Level 1+ Inspection for all applicable systems that provide sufficient access for the inspection camera.
• Photo and/or video documentation of relevant findings.
• Clear explanation of the condition of the system and any recommendations identified during the inspection.

Some systems may have physical or structural limitations that prevent a complete internal scan.

The Level 1+ Inspection is an enhanced visual assessment of readily accessible portions of the system. It does not include removal of components, destructive investigation, or access that would require unsafe conditions or specialized access equipment.

This service combines chimney sweeping with a detailed Level 2 inspection and internal video scan. We evaluate readily accessible portions of the fireplace or connected hearth appliance, firebox, damper, smoke chamber, flue, chimney exterior, termination, and accessible venting connections. Accessible attics, crawl spaces, and basements are reviewed when they contain part of the chimney or venting system. Photo and/or video documentation helps explain visible damage, deposits, deterioration, clearance concerns, or installation conditions. Level 2 inspections are commonly recommended for property transfers, appliance or fuel changes, relining, suspected damage, chimney fires, severe weather events, or other changes to the system. Concealed areas are not opened or removed as part of this service; conditions requiring destructive investigation are Level 3 scope.

This service is for gas hearth appliances, including traditional vented fireplaces and log sets, direct-vent fireplaces and inserts, vent-free fireplaces and log sets, and gas stoves. We inspect and service readily accessible appliance components such as the firebox, burner and pilot or ignition area, logs or media, glass and gaskets, controls, visible vent connections, air openings, and exterior termination where applicable. We check basic operation and look for visible soot, debris, deterioration, damaged components, improper arrangement, venting concerns, or other conditions that may affect performance or safe use. Findings and recommendations are explained and documented when relevant. Access to concealed components, gas-line repairs, invasive disassembly, manufacturer-only repairs, and specialized diagnostic work are not included unless separately approved.

This service focuses on the venting that carries combustion gases from furnaces, boilers, and water heaters. We clean the accessible chimney or venting pathway as needed and inspect readily accessible connectors, draft hoods, B-vent or common-vent sections, chimney entry points, flue condition, and exterior termination for visible blockage, deposits, corrosion, deterioration, disconnection, or venting concerns. An internal camera scan is performed where the flue design and access allow. When a furnace and water heater share a vent, the visible common-vent arrangement is included. Findings and recommendations are explained and documented when relevant. This is a venting service; it does not replace HVAC or plumbing repair, appliance teardown, combustion testing, or access to concealed areas.

Dryer vent cleaning covers the accessible exhaust path from the dryer connection through the duct to the exterior termination. We remove accessible lint and debris, review the visible transition duct, exposed connections and routing, and inspect the exterior hood or termination and damper for visible restriction, damage, or buildup. The service can improve airflow and drying performance while reducing lint-related fire risk and unnecessary strain on the dryer. Relevant concerns are explained and documented, including damaged or unsuitable ducting, disconnected sections, crushed transitions, inaccessible runs, or terminations that may need repair. Concealed structural access, duct replacement, appliance repair, and inaccessible or unsafe sections are not included unless separately evaluated and approved.
